Méribel, nestled in the heart of the French Alps, is famous not only for its world-class skiing, but also for its vibrant après-ski scene. After a long day on the slopes, there's nothing better than heading out to experience the lively bars and nightclubs that the resort has to offer.
Whether you're in the mood for dancing, live music, or cocktails by the fire, Méribel has something for everyone. In this guide, we'll help you find the perfect spot for your ideal night out, whether you want to dance the night away or just enjoy a cosy evening with friends.
Live Music
If live music is more your thing, you’re in luck – Méribel has a fantastic live music scene. One of the best spots for catching live bands is Le Rond Point.
This iconic après-ski bar sits halfway up the slopes, and is a favourite for skiers and snowboarders looking to unwind after a day on the mountain. With live bands playing daily from the afternoon into the evening, Le Rond Point is the place to be for a high-energy, fun-filled après-ski experience.
Grab a drink, sing along to your favourite tunes and enjoy the unbeatable atmosphere. It’s particularly popular with those who want to combine their love of music with dancing in their ski boots!
If you find yourself in Meribel Village looking for live music and a lively atmosphere, Lodge de Village is the place for you. LDV has got the apres-ski formula figured out; music, happy-hour and stunning views across the valley. We highly recommend it.
For a more laid-back vibe with acoustic performances, head to La Taverne. Located in the centre of Méribel, this cosy pub has regular live music nights featuring local and visiting artists. The Taverne is a great spot to relax with friends, sip on a pint and enjoy some quality live music in a more intimate setting.
Cocktails
Sometimes all you want after a day on the slopes is to sit back and savour a well-crafted cocktail. For those nights, L’abreuvoir is the perfect spot. With its chic décor, extensive cocktail menu and impromptu late-night DJ sets, it’s the ideal place to unwind in style. Whether you prefer a classic cocktail or something a little more adventurous, the bartenders at L’abreuvoir are masters of their craft.
For a twist on the classics, head to Copiña, Méribel’s only Galician-inspired cocktail and tapas bar. As well as unique cocktails, the Copiña team serves an interesting range of craft beers and world wines. A real crowd-pleaser if your group can’t decide what they’re drinking.
Barometer’s cocktails are also highly recommended. With an extensive house cocktail list and a french / italian-inspired menu there’s something for everyone. Espresso martinis are the speciality, perfect for that post-ski pick me up.
Live Sport
For sports fans who don’t want to miss out on their favourite teams while on holiday, Méribel has plenty of bars where you can catch live matches.
Jacks Bar, located just a stone’s throw from the slopes, is one of the best places to watch live sport. Whether it’s football, rugby or skiing, Jacks Bar has multiple screens, a lively atmosphere and a friendly crowd, making it a top choice for catching the action.
The Doron Pub is another popular spot for live sport. With large screens and a buzzing après-ski atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to gather with fellow sports fans. The Doron Pub also has regular live music and DJ sets, so if you’re looking to transition from watching the match to enjoying some entertainment, you won’t have to go far.
Clubbing
If you're in the mood to let loose and hit the dance floor after a day on the pistes, Méribel’s nightlife won’t disappoint. For those who love clubbing, Sully’s is an institution in Méribel’s late-night scene.
This legendary nightclub, located just outside the main town, offers a buzzing atmosphere, world-class DJs, and an energetic crowd. Open until the early hours, Sully’s is perfect for those who want to keep the party going long after the lifts have closed.
Late-Night Food
After a night of dancing, cocktails or cheering on your favourite team, you might find yourself craving a late-night bite. In our opinion, there really is only one spot you need to know about, aptly named “Le Spot"!
It’s open late. The atmosphere is buzzing. The pizzas are delicious. What more do you need?
Méribel's Nightlife: Something for Everyone
No matter what kind of night out you’re after, Méribel has something to offer. Whether you want to dance into the early hours, enjoy live music, sip on a cocktail or cheer on your favourite team, there’s a bar or nightclub to suit every mood.
So, grab your friends, throw on your best après-ski gear and get ready to experience the vibrant nightlife that Méribel is known for. Cheers!
