Ski Cuisine is a small, family run chalet company operating solely in the beautiful Alpine resort of Méribel situated at the heart of the impressive Three Valley Ski area; the largest ski area in the world. Our four chalets are ski-in, ski-out and have cosy and traditional interiors. We are renowned for excellent quality cuisine and personal service, provided by professional and personable staff.
Responsibilities
- Daily housekeeping throughout the whole chalet
- Presenting the chalet to the required standard
- Stock control and ordering
- Front of house service during meal times
- Assistance to the chef when required
- Cooking breakfasts/making cakes as required in the chef’s absence
- Hosting guests
- Communication and interaction with guests
- General duties in and around the chalet alongside the chef such as snow clearing & daily disposal of rubbish & recycling
Pre-requisites
We are looking for experienced hosts who:
- Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English
- Have previous experience in hospitality with a preference for private functions or previous chalet/villa experience
- Have housekeeping experience and a good eye for presentation and detail
- Can cook breakfasts and afternoon tea cakes etc
- Have a minimum of a valid Level 2 Hygiene certificate

Package
- Salary on application - fixed term French contract / 38 hours per week + holiday pay
- Accommodation in a shared room in our staff chalet
- Meals supplied during work hours
- Ski or snowboard equipment for the season
- A season three valley lift pass will be purchased for the employee at the start of the season upon successful completion of the training period, monthly deductions from the salary will be made to cover the cost of the lift pass through the season
- Two days off per week
- Uniform provided by Ski Cuisine: Outdoor jacket. Shirts. Polo shirts. Aprons
- To provide yourself: Black trousers. Black indoor shoes. A light weight black sweater or black cardigan
