What is the best way to travel to the chalets?
When staying with Ski Cuisine you will need to make your own travel arrangements. We can however recommend various airlines, train services & airport transfer companies. Once you have paid your final balance you will be sent a pre- arrival pack with directions to the chalet & general information.
What time can we arrive at the chalet and what time must we vacate?
Your chalet will be ready to welcome you from 5pm on your arrival date. You will need to vacate the chalet by 10am on your departure day. We request that the chalet is vacant between 10am-5pm so that the chalet staff can prepare for the new guests and deep clean the chalet. We cannot guarantee that we can store luggage on a change over day and there are no changing or bathroom facilities available during this time.
Does Ski Cuisine provide a childcare service?
Ski Cuisine is very happy to work with Meribel Nanny Services who employ experienced nannies. They are professional and creative and your children can look forward to activities indoors and out, such as snowman building, sledging, arts & crafts and storytelling.
What time will the children have their early evening meal?
This will be served at 6pm, leaving you to enjoy your dinner later in the evening.
If you require your children to have an earlier meal (before 6pm) please speak to the chef and they can arrange for a meal to be left for you to heat up for the children. Please note that the chalet staff do not start work until 5.30pm due to their designated break time so they are unable to serve earlier than 6pm
Where do the chalet staff live?
Chalet staff have their own separate accommodation, giving our guests their privacy. Your hosts will provide house keeping, hosting and prepare and serve meals and drinks for you in your chalet.
What happens on the chalet staff’s day off?
Your chalet staff will provide a housekeeping and hosting service every day, except for on their two days off. They will leave a continental breakfast for you to help yourselves to and afternoon tea will be left for you on your return from the slopes. No dinner is served in Ski Cuisine chalets on the staff nights off and Meribel has a wide selection of restaurants which our chalet staff will be happy to recommend and book on your behalf for that evening. If you prefer to stay in your chalet on the staff night off we can recommend a pizza delivery service.
Is there TV/DVD and WiFi provided?
All these facilities are available, as well as a Bluetooth speaker in each chalet. Please see individual chalet details/ At a glance section for each chalets facilities.
Can you help us arrange a massage and/or beauty treatment during our stay?
Our staff can recommend qualified local therapists who will visit your chalet if you would prefer to be pampered in the comfort of your own room. A lovely range of bath & shower gel, soap, shampoo and body lotion is supplied and all bedrooms have hair dryers. Bath robes & slippers are supplied.
How do we book a Ski Cuisine chalet?

How much should we tip our chalet staff?
Tips/ Gratuities are often given to show your appreciation of the work your chalet team has done, for example delivering an exceptional holiday experience which we hope exceeds your expectations. However, it is entirely at your own discretion if you decide to leave a tip or not. If you would like any guidance on appropriate tipping amounts, please speak with the Resort Manager or email our office. All tips given to the chalet staff are gratefully received, we also encourage that tips are shared with the support staff who enable our chalet staff to deliver a seamless service.
