Five events we’re excited for in Méribel this season

14 December 2023

The 23/24 season is almost upon us and things are starting to look an awful lot like winter in Méribel!

With the early season snowfall filling up social media, our last remaining bookings are filling up fast.

Before we get snowed under in all the things that keep us busy during the season, we thought we’d take a moment to look ahead to what’s happening here in Méribel (beyond the first class skiing, eating and après.

Méribel in Lights - Sat 16 December

Our season kicks off on Saturday 16 December with a full house across the four chalets and as an added bonus, our guests will be greeted with a free invite to one of Méribel’s most unique evenings.

Méribel in Lights is a science inspired light show taking place inside a massive ball. Once the three dimensional light show wraps up, the ball is taken over by international DJs to take revellers into the early hours.

Quite the welcome party for our first-weekers.

Christmas Eve celebrations - Sun 24 & Mon 25 December

Christmas in Méribel is about as Christmassy as it gets.

Enjoy the festive markets, steam up the goggles with a glass of mulled wine and say salut to Santa as he trots into town on his horse-drawn sleigh just in time for après.

After a Christmas Eve on the slopes, don’t miss the resort wide welcome drink on the Chaudanne snow front.

If you're looking for a unique Christmas mass in the snow, the ice rink is the venue for a special service from 18:30.

Electric Fat Bike Testing - Tue 2 & Wed 3 January

If you’ve got anything left in the tank after a full day’s skiing, head over to La Chaudanne to try your hand at E-mountain biking on the snow.

The fat bikes have been specially designed to take on the snow and the team from Matra will build a course suitable for all abilities. Just chuck on your salopettes and bring whatever energy you have left.

Entry is free. Helmets and bikes provided. Lots of prizes to be won!

Xplore Alpes Film Festival - Wed 10 & Thu 11 January

Need to put your feet up after a long day on the slopes? The Xplore Alpes Film Festival showcases the best new skiing and snowboarding films, all projected on an outdoor screen, for the extremely reasonable price of… free.

The stars of the films will be on hand to add a little pizzaz and hand out Salomon gear. If you’re not into ski films, there’s a free drink at the interval. Now that’s hospitality Méribel style!

Enduro des Trois Vallées - Sun 31 March

Ever fancied yourself as a ski racing legend? The famous Enduro des Trois Vallées is a family-friendly racing event that pits teams of three against each other in 11 unique challenges across the whole of the Three Valleys ski area.
